Working within the envelope of an existing mid-century Eichler home, the project involved the complete renovation and restoration of the interior space from the public areas to the private rooms of the house. Selectively removing a series of walls with the Living, Dining, and Kitchen, the main priorities were both visual and physical connections between the interior and exterior. From the entry stair, a large multi-slide door allows direct access to the backyard and the new patio area in the hillside landscape. New millwork was introduced as a connecting thread throughout the house.
